F30 AWE CARBON FIBER S-FLO INTAKE

The S-Flo carbon fiber intake by AWE is a work of art. Everything from the fitment to the carbon weave is immaculate. Easily my favorite intake system for the F30 328i.

The sound is also very clean. Other intakes that I have tried have been extremely loud. To the point where they just sound ridiculous. This intake sounds refined, and not too overbearing.

If you are interested in picking this intake up, you can do so here:

In this application, I have the MST intake currently installed. I will be removing that in order to install the AWE Intake system. If you need assistance removing the stock intake, watch this video here:

Tools we will need to install the AWE intake:

First step, install the cone onto the U shaped carbon fiber piping. When tightening the clamp down DO NOT overdo it. Carbon fiber is easier to crack, hand tightened will be good.

Next we will connect the U shape pipe to the carbon air box. You will see how they come together. There is a U shaped piece of carbon that will fit directly into the cutout on the airbox. Take your time with this, rock it back and forth until the two pieces are seamless.

Now we will install the MAF Sensor. This can only go on correctly, one way. Make sure to use the screws supplied with the intake, these are made for carbon fiber.

Next we will install this into the engine bay. Plug in your MAF sensor. The intake pipe connects with the turbo inlet pipe using a clamp, again not too tight..carbon can crack. Also there is a tab that the airbox will latch onto, its part of a plastic air duct. Make sure it is correctly seated.

Next, we will install the carbon cover for the intake. Attach all of the rubber grommets to the top. Then there are a number of alan bolts that will connect the two carbon pieces.

Double check all connections, make sure everything is tight!
