The rennline phone mount is simply the best option when it comes to finding a place to store our phones in the F-Series BMW’s. This mount uses the factory accessory panel bolts, making the application look as oem as possible. It also sits in a really nice location, just off to the right of the panel facing directly up at you for easy access.

The install is very easy, here are the tools needed:

First step, we are going to remove the undertray that sits just underneath the accessory panel. Use your trim tool, it will pop right out.

Next, we will need to remove the upper trim piece that is held in by clips. Start with the thicker side and move to the passenger side. Be careful not to break the thinner side. You should be able to pop this out by hand.

You will now see a T20 Torx bolt on the right hand upper side and right hand lower side of the accessory panel. Remove both of those, we will be reusing these for the phone mount itself.

Take the rennline phone mount, make sure you assemble it first. Then use those two existing accessory panel T20 Torx bolts and fasten the mount into place. You can then reinstall the upper trim piece and lower undertray.

This is the cleanest option out there for these cars, in my opinion.
